Dear Creator,

Hello! Thank you for picking up this request ^___^ You may find me here on AO3. I'm already thrilled to see what you come up with! Rest assured that I will love it dearly :D

I would be more than happy to receive a work (or works) of any rating for any of my ships. I hope these prompts are helpful and informative; if not, please feel free to disregard them and do your own thing. I'll also note here that I have gifting enabled on AO3.

Additionally, this is my first time requesting art in an exchange, so please bear with me as I figure out how to list art likes and prompts! I'm more than comfortable with right-to-left layouts (especially for my Japanese canons), but left-to-right works just as well, so please go with whatever makes you most at ease! I don't have any strong preferences when it comes to black and white or colours and palettes, nor mediums or tones. In terms of styles (and please don't feel bound to this!), I enjoy anime/manga style, as well as chibis, but also like more realistic portrayals. Additionally, I tend to prefer on-model characters that ressemble the source material — as opposed to interpretations where they have been dramatically altered (ex: race-bending skin tones, drastically changing proportions such that a canonically slim character appears overweight, etc.). But if that's not your thing, I'd be happy to see something that's in your style!

Wishing you a stress-free creation period~

Additional Notes on Mpreg
  • When it comes to mpreg (omegaverse or any old AU), I'd prefer that the pregnant male keeps their external male genitalia. If you don't feel comfortable writing this, no worries! Feel free to gloss over the mechanics or avoid mentioning any specifics. I don't have any particular preferences when it comes to cloaca versus anal births (and so on), aside from not wanting vaginas on male characters for this particular exchange.
  • Additionally, I would be happy to receive fic depicting pregnancy, giving birth, child-rearing or child-minding of any sorts. I am perfectly alright with threats of miscarriage, danger to the mother, or actual loss of the child.

Requested Formats
10,000-word fic or 10-page comic

I've used the original (Japanese) names here in my letter, but I wouldn't mind receiving a work with the localised names from the 90's dub if that's what you prefer. Feel free to include background ships and any character(s) from the full cast. I'd prefer that the Shitennou keep their original names instead of having them replaced by civilian names. It's totally fine to gloss over outsiders' terms of address towards them if you prefer.

Note: I'm familiar with the manga and original 90s anime. I have yet to catch up on the entirety of Crystal, nor have I consumed all of the musicals.

Chiba Mamoru / Shitennou & Helios

On my latest rewatch, I realised just how badly Mamoru must be pining for his former retainers. What must it be like for him to see the Senshi constantly rallying around Usagi; does it remind him of his own loss? I'd love to see Mamoru yearning for the days when his men carefully and lovingly served their precious Crown Prince. And it would be great to see the Shitennou as a group attempting to serve or collectively take care of their precious King. Bonus points if Helios is also involved!

Endymion | Mamoru
Mamoru, that poor guy, always gets brainwashed...Does he finally catch a break for once? I enjoy seeing his gentle and mature side - but if the Shitennou are around, do they finally get him to relax and enjoy his youth and freedom? I'm always curious to see how the part of him that remembers and resists dark influence wars with his brainwashed side and fights to take back control. I have no preference for which position he winds up in.

When it comes to Usagi | Serenity, I'm alright with having Mamoru in love with her/in a relationship with her if you'd like. If you choose to go the cheating route, that's also fine with me! My one caveat is that I'd like to avoid any confrontations between the two of them on the topic, on or off-screen. Feel free to go the open relationship route as well.

Shitennou
I'm especially interested in how age and hierarchy plays a role in their interactions.
The Materials Collection describes the four thusly:

  • Kunzite (25-26)
  • Nephrite (19)
  • Jadeite (18)
  • Zoicite (16-17)
No need to set these ages in stone! But I imagine that Kunzite and Zoicite give off the feeling of being much older/younger when compared to Mamoru, Nephrite and Jadeite, who "feel" closer in age (and possibly in maturity levels as well).

** I've noticed that some translations mistakenly claim that the Materials Collection states that Kunzite/Zoicite are in a relationship. I've checked the Japanese version, which instead says that ' Kunzite dotes on Zoicite '. **
I'd be happy to see them as treating each other special and having Zoicite be the spoiled younger sibling type, however, I'd prefer that the relationships between the Shitennou and their prince take priority (as opposed to the Shitennou pairing off at all times)
I don't mean to sound pedantic, but the original Japanese also states that the height difference goes Kunzite > Nephrite > Zoicite = Jadeite (roughly the same), while fan translations purport that Zoicite is 'taller' and Jadeite is the shortest. It won't ruin the work for me by any means if you choose not to follow this description! On the other hand, I'd be thrilled to receive something following the aforementioned details.

Notes on Smut likes
Depending on how you choose to write them, I'm fine with any of the men topping/bottoming/switching. If they do mix things up, I'd be happy to see the younger two (Zoicite and Jadeite) remain on the bottom at times for Endymion | Mamoru or for the elder Shitennou.

Helios
As a priest, I wonder how his tendencies for subservience and devotion manifest themselves during intimate moments. How does his bond to Endymion | Mamoru affect the two of them? Do the Shitennou treat him as another little brother, or something more? (He is supposedly around '13' to Zoicite's '16-17', if that helps. Of course, in the present time those ages are meaningless given all the reincarnations, time shenanigans and crystal powers of longevity. However, I imagine the younger/older dynamics still remain.)

According to the artbook, his appearance is meant to reflect Endymion's slightly. How does he rank in comparison to the Shitennou? I'd love to know what he thought about resurrecting/purifying them, and how he welcomed them back post betrayal. Was he eager to submit to them as before, or does he require renewed proof of their fealty to Endymion beforehand?

Optional Prompts

  • It takes time for Mamoru to recover his memories of the Silver Millennium (maybe with Helios's assistance?); but when he does, he's assaulted with confusing images of men he thought to be their enemies. Why does he long for them so? What did they mean to him, and how can he get them back?
  • Under Beryl's command, the Shitennou kidnap Mamoru and attempt to brainwash him with Chaos using physical means
  • Mamoru possesses The Healing Cock, and with Helios' guidance, makes his way through his former men one-by-one, bringing them back to the light.
  • The purified Shitennou beg Mamoru (and Helios?) for forgiveness and attempt to make amends.
  • A lonely Mamoru insists upon resurrecting his Shitennou. The Senshi have mixed reactions. Helios is required to complete the process, given his connection to both Elysion and the crystal.
  • The Shitennou spoil their crown prince and lover on a memorable occasion during the Silver Millennium, with Helios's assistance

Chibiusa / Helios

These two were so cute during the Dream Arc, and I want more! I love Chibiusa's clinginess and attempts to behave maturely around Helios. What makes her his maiden, and why did he choose her? What does he plan to do with himself while waiting for her birth in this timeline? Does he have plans to speak to Endymion about his feelings eventually, and ask for Chibiusa's hand in marriage? Does that make him Endymion's son-in-law?! How does Helios, formerly a priest, cope with potentially becoming crowned King (or Prince) after eons of guarding the Golden Crystal and Elysion?!

Optional Prompts

  • Chibiusa and/or Helios await their eventual reunion, one Millennium away. The wait is a very different experience on Helios' side.
  • Dream Arc: I'd love to see adventures in dream world! Why won't the Senshi believe Chibiusa about her Pegasus? What if Nehelenia's magic eventually has drastic consequences for Helios?
  • Heartbreak over their separation temporarily affects their powers
  • While trapped by Nehelenia, Helios desperately wishes for Chibiusa's comforting presence.
  • Something with time travel! Maybe Nehelenia, in her desperation for the crystal, accidentally ends up killing Helios. What does this do to Mamoru and Chibiusa, as the true heirs of the Golden Crystal?
  • Helios adapts to life in Crystal Tokyo. What if he went to extreme lengths to fit in, such as... attending Chibiusa's school?!

Senshi / Shitennou

I'm deeply in love with any interpretation of these two groups, whether it be a Silver Milenium setting or a present-day resurrection/ghost story. Bring the Shitennou back to life, make them relive Beryl and Metallica's torture, make the girls cope with their returning memories... any route is GOOD! I'd especially love to see the Senshi and Shitennou having to work together when it comes to youma duties. Maybe the Outers join in as well.

See below for more on Venus/Kunzite and Mars/Jadeite. As for Ami and Zoicite, it would be fun to see them geeking out as bookworms and plotting strategical tactics together. Supposedly Zoicite is the type to use underhanded methods... what does Ami think? How does she deal with his spoiled tendencies? And for Nephrite/Makoto - these two would make such a high-intensity, highly emotional couple! Do they go on journeys together and fight to let off steam? What about nightly stargazing and nature/forest walks?

Optional Prompts

  • How does the resurrection happen? Do the girls need to go on a journey? Make their own sacrifices (please no hair cutting unless it grows back quickly!)? Or, does it all boil down to Mamoru and Usagi, and the girls are left out?
  • How does everyone cope with the reunion? Who gives in first and who holds out? Are there grudges held by certain parties when not all the relationships resume smoothly? (Ideally, I'd like for all the members to get back together in the end game, unless there is a very compelling reason for why not.)
  • How do Minako and Kunzite work out leadership duties; do the two groups interact at all and will they take orders from the other's commander? What role do the Outers play in the dynamic?
  • Do any bonds from their previous lives return, or are they essentially starting from scratch?

Aino Minako / Kunzite

I imagine that Minako's status as the Goddess of Love, as well as her 'more' complete set of memories from the past (when compared to the others), frame her relationship with Kunzite a little differently than the rest of the Senshi - at least at first. I envision these two as having quite a lot of desperation for one another, though whether their peers are aware or not is a different story. I usually like the thought of Minako throwing herself into her crushes a replacement for the dead Kunzite she could never have, as opposed to the "floozy Minako who sleeps with everyone and anyone" portrayal.

How did these two get together once upon the time? Was it a natural arrangement, the result of being pushed together as the respective heads of their royalty's guard? Or are they drawn together through strength of character alone? I assume that for these two, duty > romance. How does that play out?

I'm most interested in current-day Minako and her relationship with Kunzite's reincarnation (be it the stone version, or a living human one). What does forgiveness look like for them, if it's ever on the table? Are they the first, or the last to cave and get back together? Does Minako play a part in Kunzite's resurrection? Does she attempt to make him jealous with other men she doesn't care for one iota? Or, is Kunzite the one to avoid her, in the firm belief that their relationship was a mistake the first time that shouldn't be repeated (despite his lingering feelings for her)?

What if modern Kunzite is reincarnated without his memories of the past - what does Minako do?!

Hino Rei / Jadeite

I'd also love to see a softer Rei portrayal than the common trope, where she's less of a man-hater and more of an independent young soul who refuses to experience another heartbreak. Does she let Jadeite in eventually, and what does he have to do to prove it to her?

While Dark!Jadeite is a colder, heartless type, the true Jadeite is supposedly a serious guy. I tend to enjoy setups where Jadeite comes to live and work at the Hikawa Shrine. He seems like he'd enjoy the work, the sacred fire, and the opportunity to spend time together it would provide. And heck yes to Jadeite & Grandpa Hino bonding!! Points that could be addressed: Does the couple bond through the sacred fire or shared visions? Is there any telepathy going on, and if so, can they access the bond still outside the temple, away from the sacred fire? How do they approach school, and what about Senator Hino and his matchmaking plans for his daughter? What makes Rei give in to Jadeite's romantic advances; or, is she the one in pursuit/waiting and helping him to forgive himself?

*

General Prompts (any pairing)

I'm really obsessed with the idea of the ruins of the Silver Millennium being discovered in modern times, and watching the world's reaction. Is this what sets up the next Millennium, or do inquisitive, investigative types start pursuing the Senshi's true identities?

This series has forever changed my world and has been driving me insane for the past year. There are priceless dynamics between everybody, literally! TGAA is also the game that has turned me into a multi-shipper; I freak out over every single character interaction (and everyone is attracted to everyone, don’t ask me how that works). I have a ton of DGS ships and enjoy exploring so many dynamics, especially codependent/platonic/messy/devoted forms of love.

Any and all characters from the full cast are welcome. Feel free to use either the original or localised spellings. (In this letter you'll notice I gravitate towards "Klint", "Holmes" and exact transliteration when it comes to Japanese names, but don't feel obligated to do the same!) I have no preference between, say, "Stronghart" or "Vortex". If you’re comfortable writing in the style, I very much enjoyed the Victorian speech patterns and cultural references in the game.

Note on canonical marriages:

I would prefer for both Genshin's and Klint's marriages to be treated as arranged or political affairs - essentially, marrying out of duty as the family head must (and perhaps in Klint's case, to free Barok from the same fate). If you'd like to elaborate - perhaps it was necessary for safety reasons, happened as an agreement between friends, out of necessity, etc. - as long as love marriages or any romantic implications are avoided, I'm happy to see any interpretation. As for the issue of adultery: I'm fine with however you wish to treat this. Handwave things, give them mental anguish, choose or adapt the setting so that Lady Baskerville is not around yet and maybe never comes into the picture / the Asougi Lady has already passed away - anything goes!

In Genshin's case, specifically
Due to his samurai heritage, I can see him as hailing from shuudou traditions wherein it may have been acceptable for him to have other relationships (esp. with younger men) outside of his marriage. I enjoy seeing him portrayed as homosexual, but feel free not to address it if that doesn’t suit your interpretation. (As an aside, I also believe Jigoku and Kazuma might have had similar experiences.)

If any of the above doesn't suit your fancy, please feel comfortable glossing over the subject of their marriages and avoiding it altogether.

Genshin / Barok / Klint

My absolute favourite loyalty trio ❤︎ I’m absolutely convinced that they’re all in love with each other, bound together by fate, and all that. I’m fine with any interpretation: two of them together before adding in the third – messy pining by everyone for everyone, whether it's in the context of a relationship or not – “educational” mentorships turning into more – juggling marriages and heirs with true love – literally anything!

I'm super obsessed with these two bro-cons, and the third they pick up somewhere along the way :D It's clear from how much Klint and Genshin both sacrificed for Barok that they loved him deeply, and so he does still in return; he does not strike me as the type to take down Klint's portrait following the Professor reveal, and he seems rather desperate to make amends with the Asougis... I'm drawn to that (somewhat) blind idol-worship of Barok's, along with all the other traits of the 'little darling' we get a few glimpses of. He really strikes me as a definite bottom, with that maiden heart he has, though depending on the situation I could see him topping (or being forced to top).

As for Klint and Genshin, I have no fixed top/bottom preference when it comes to sexual matters. I do want Klint to remain limited to Barok and Genshin in his relationships, though conversely, I can see Genshin as having had plenty of past experience (especially through shuudou, the samurai's genre of pederasty).

A note on Klint:
I'd prefer if Klint isn't portrayed as cruel, overtly manipulative or violent towards Barok and Genshin, including intentionally non-conning either one outside of the context of mutual dub/non-con.

Optional Prompts

  • Barok makes it to Klint’s office before he dies, and the three of them say goodbye together
  • Casual sword fights outside behind the manor. Training each other in foreign Western/Eastern styles
  • Genshin appreciates the brothers’ flexibility, and bends them into “interesting” positions. Or maybe stretching after a swordfight one day leads to sexy times. I’m just dying to see Genshin being surprised by the extent of their stretchiness and promptly wanting to take advantage of it.
  • Introducing London’s sights to Genshin! What kinds of foods do they bring him? What kinds of social functions must he endure?
  • Klint and Barok hear about Genshin’s experiences with shuudou, and grow eager to try it out for themselves.
  • As Barok implies, the van Zieks were on the end of many attacks in the past. Does Genshin protect them? Were they ever abducted by the mob? I’d love to see them forced into some mutual non-con too.
  • Ghost threesome sex that may or may not lead to a resurrection 👻
  • Depressed!Barok attempts suicide (does he succeed?) and sees Klint/ Genshin again. Or, he specifically goes through with it in order to see them again. Does this happen right after the Professor case? During his 5 year absence from the courtroom (or could it be the reason for his absence)? Post-canon and the Klint reveal? Maybe Barok can’t forgive himself for prosecuting Genshin, sham trial or not.
  • Genshin introduces the brothers to Japanese traditions, whether it be language, holidays, paraphernalia, and more. They are very, very curious. I’d love to see them nerding out over Genshin’s undergarments (his fundoshi)!!
  • Sex as stress relief - Klint especially needs to submit for a while, and escape from the pressures of his position.
  • Slave Setting: Following the 'Professor is Klint' reveal 10 years ago, Klint's life is spared and he is not taken into custody. Instead, Klint is subject to the mercy of his lovers, and he takes it upon himself to become their sex slave + submissive as punishment and recompense. Not wanting to entertain Klint's suicidal ideation anymore, Barok and Genshin reluctantly go along with this new state of affairs as a last resort, using pleasure and erotic pain as tools to distract him from having anymore dark, murderous thoughts.
  • Any twist on the Professor case wherein it was a ruse all along, and Barok is spared from endless grief. An Everybody Lives! AU
  • Angst over Klint’s impending wedding leads to difficult discussions about their future as lovers and partners
  • Barok, alone, mourning over his lovers. Maybe this is during the 10-year gap? Post-canon? Immediately after the execution? Maybe he goes through their things, old prints and paintings, wears their clothes, etc.
  • A day (or multiple) in the life of Director of Prosecutions Klint van Zieks, his judicial assistant Barok, and their detective partner, the foreigner Asougi. What case are they on? Do Holmes & Mikotoba make an appearance? How about their other colleagues? More on their relationship with the Legendary Duo below!

Barok / Genshin

I love this dynamic of young, innocent Barok falling for his new foreign friend. I get the impression that he was kind of lonely, and Genshin was his only companion when Klint was busy. Of course we know that Barok had Albert (and possibly others) at university, but Genshin seems to be ‘special’ for some reason. Genshin’s protectiveness over Barok gets me every time – I’m utterly obsessed with the flashback scene where he has his arm outstretched to protect Barok. (Also, how he whispers in Barok’s ear… swoon.)

I imagine the sexual relationship between these two looked very different pre versus post Professor case. Maybe young, inexperienced Barok was much more of a willing submissive and bottom - however, after he started to hate Genshin, he became the dominant, aggressive figure we see in the game, with a buried soft side? I'm open to many interpretations of these two! I see Barok as more of a bottom, especially when Genshin was introducing him to the mechanisms of intimacy, but would definitely enjoy him topping Genshin either in his younger, innocent days, or in his Professor-induced rage. If you choose a post-canon setting, I would be happy to read about how Barok's guilt manifests itself during intercourse.

I would prefer for Genshin's marriage to be treated as an arranged or political matter - essentially, marrying out of duty as the heir must. If you'd like to elaborate - perhaps it was necessary for safety reasons, or happened as an agreement between friends, out of necessity, etc. - as long as love marriages or any romantic implications are avoided, I'm happy to see any interpretation. As for the issue of adultery: I'm fine with however you wish to treat this. Handwave things, give them mental anguish, choose or adapt the setting so that her death occurs earlier - anything goes! There's also the option of exploring how it was acceptable for Genshin to have other relationships (esp. with younger men) outside of his marriage, per samurai traditions.

Optional Prompts

Many of the prompts here were also written with solely Barok / Genshin in mind. Please feel free to take inspiration from them too!

Why does Barok admire Genshin so much, and how did they get so close? Do they pine over Klint together? I love the image of bodyguard!Genshin. How did the arrangement come about - did Barok (and Klint?) go through a very gruesome attack or kidnapping experience? Maybe Genshin also taught Barok some Eastern sword fighting techniques?

What really happened the night Genshin’s ring was stolen? I’d love to see some deviation from canon here. Was it more than just a ring theft — sexually or violently? Are they only attacked on the streets or is someone kidnapped? Do they wind up in a fuck-or-die/mutual non-con scenario?

Barok learns about sex and intimacy from Genshin, for whatever reason. It could be shuudou, it could be an arrangement “between friends”, go wild.

If Klint marries around the time the Professor murders take off, Barok will be lonely; maybe he takes solace in Genshin (or does Genshin take advantage of the situation to make a move?) Both Barok and Genshin cope poorly with Klint's (impending?) wedding, which unintentionally leads to the consummation of their own friendship/relationship... they might also do something similar in the wake of Klint's untimely death.

What does Genshin think of how Barok condemned him in court? What was he going through emotionally? Perhaps Barok confronted Genshin in his cell after his arrest, pleading for the truth and believing in his innocence until…something? What made Barok come to hate Genshin and believe in his guilt? Maybe Genshin non-cons/dub-cons Barok to convince him that Genshin is a criminal? (Genshin tries to be rough, Barok is scared, but deep down inside wants him anyway? He’ll have no one left if Genshin leaves him too.) OR the opposite happens - Barok tops (dub-cons?) Genshin out of anger and grief.

Following his failed execution and near death, Genshin who has nowhere to go ends up at Barok's doorstep. This could be immediately, or some time after the dust has settled when Genshin can no longer survive on his own. (If you really push it, this could line up nicely with Barok's 5-year break...!)

How does Barok come to terms with Genshin’s innocence post-canon? Does he dream of reuniting with Genshin and apologizing? Does he visit his grave, and re-evaluate his feelings? Maybe Genshin is actually alive - how does Barok cope?

In the time between Genshin's trial and Barok's own trial 10 years later, Barok finds himself unable to forget about his lust for Genshin despite his hatred of the man. Maybe he thinks or dreams about him in an erotic manner? Or reluctantly gets up to some hanky-panky with dead!Genshin/past!Genshin?

Post canon, Barok has a long-overdue talk with Genshin's ghost which leads to something more. Maybe Genshin comes back to life, or maybe he stays dead.

Post canon, Genshin suddenly reappears in front of Barok after the resolution of the Professor case. Barok copes with his reappearance and complicated feelings for him. Genshin readjusts to life as an innocent man, and sorts through the past 10 years of suffering from the moment he found out Klint was the Professor.

Barok / Klint

These two are simply brother-obsessed. They're locked in mutual idolatry even though it blinds them. I love how they're respectively each other's weaknesses, and how needy and co-dependent they seem to be. While Klint never has to live without Barok, his actions suggest that he would fall apart in a similar way if he ever lost his brother.

Barok clearly loves Klint so, incredibly much. Unconditionally, even, despite the events of canon. I don’t think he’s the type to take down his brother’s portrait, as he still admires him and looks up to the man he loved…probably a little too deeply. I enjoy the thought of Barok looking to his brother’s portrait for advice, and just generally going to or thinking of Klint in times of crisis.

As for Klint, I think the fact that he would’ve rather become Stronghart’s puppet instead of revealing the truth of his misdeeds to Barok (risking the loss of his affections), as well as how he was unable to confess to Barok while he still lived is very telling about how terrifying losing Barok was to him. Klint was paralysed by the need to remain perfect in his brother’s eyes lest he lose Barok’s love. What sacrifices does he make for Barok’s sake? I like the idea of Stronghart blackmailing Klint with the threat of revealing their incestuous relationship.

In terms of dynamics, one of my favourites is top!Klint taking Barok's virginity (and giving him his own, in exchange). Depending on the situation, I could see them switching if the goal is to "educate Barok on matters of intimacy", or if Klint is feeling guilty and attempting to repent.

I'd prefer if Klint isn't portrayed as cruel, overtly manipulative or violent towards Barok, including intentionally non-conning Barok outside of the context of mutual dub/non-con.

Optional Prompts

  • Getting together before the arrival of the Japanese exchange students, when Barok was not yet an adult. Did Barok pursue Klint, or did their relationship evolve naturally as an extension of their brotherly affections?
  • When Barok hits puberty, Klint is the one to introduce him to sex and onanism, a lesson that goes much too far. Once they start, they never stop.
  • The van Zieks family tutor is quick to take up the switch as punishment. In an attempt to spare his brother (maybe the punishment is unjust? Or, Klint's a huge pushover when it comes to his little brother), Klint petitions to take over the punishments himself. He ends up reluctantly taking Barok over his lap to give him a few bare slaps. Maybe Barok reacts to him, or Klint finds himself accidentally turned on. Does this become their new normal?
  • Before Genshin comes into their lives, Klint is the last line of defence when defending himself and his brother. (Alternatively, Genshin might be around already, but not present at the moment.) One day, his best is not enough and they're forced to do despicable things by their tormentors.
  • Given the opportunity (maybe ghost Klint refuses to reveal himself to his brother?), Barok would definitely choose to bring Klint back to life through intercourse, established relationship or not.
  • For A/B/O or dom/sub verses: I’d love to see bottom (omega/sub) Barok mating with/being collared by his brother. It could be out of necessity, to hide Barok’s dynamic. It could be convention between siblings within the aristocracy. Anything goes! ** For A/B/O, I'd prefer that omegas keep their male genitalia instead of having vaginas. **
  • I’m also interested in Soulmate AUs for these two: how does it tie in to their brotherhood? Feel free to include some worldbuilding.
  • How did they sneak around? Does Genshin know about their relationship? How quick did Holmes deduce them?
  • Judicial assistant Barok assists his beloved older brother at work. What better way to spend more time together? It’s a great way to get some office sex, at least. Does Klint take him out to crime scenes and court battles too?

Holmes / Mikotoba

I’m absolutely obsessed with this variation on the traditional Sherlock/Watson dynamic. This partnership is the best plot twist I have ever experienced! They contrast and complement one another adorably. From shared parenting to forensic research, HomuMiko really has it all. I very much enjoyed their reunion on the couch of Baker Street, except I’m convinced they must’ve reunited otherwise after a solid decade of pining. Their dance of deduction was SO fun, and I was devastated that they had to separate so soon (though that was one painful and awkward goodbye…).

GAA Holmes’ eccentricity, dramatics and moods are very much played up in the best of ways. He is absolutely insane (I say this affectionately) and his unpredictability is definitely a part of the appeal for me. I love how he strives to protect, even at the cost of the truth, and to me he definitely has one of the most loving hearts of all the cast. Every time he talks about his mysterious partner (especially pre-reveal), I can feel the affection pouring out of him TT^TT Around other men, he is a total flirt and I very much headcanon gay bottom (or omega/sub in the case of AUs) Holmes because of his incessant teasing.

Mikotoba is an interesting foil to Holmes, what with his impeccable manners and patience. I never realised how strange and unusual he is too until looking back on his general behaviour post-reveal. He is particularly secretive, and hides his cute & klutzy side well until Holmes comes along. I really enjoy the dynamics of their partnership; particularly the caretaker aspect, which suits his doctor side well (and explains the age gap).

Optional Prompts

I’d love to see them talk more science – maybe Holmes is always behind on his patents because he’s waiting for Mikotoba’s input? This Holmes clearly had a drug addiction at some point, if not still, and I’m very curious about how Mikotoba would have dealt with it. (My favourite idea at this point is Mikotoba wielding sex as a replacement for other stimulants.) I’m interested in interpretations about how they got together as Mikotoba grieved, and how their friends and later, family, discover their relationship.

I’m very attached to seeing them interact as a duo with all of their London acquaintances, especially in a pre-canon setting. Having them make a mess of Klint’s crime scenes with Gregson, Genshin and maybe even Barok present is such an exciting idea!! (Hopefully Klint remains in good spirits about it…) Feel free to reinterpret old ACD cases, or come up with new, AA-style ones as you please – I’d love to see more dangerous HomuMiko whump, fighting and abduction. Mikotoba must have some special self-defence moves of his own, no?

I’m curious about their sex lives as well. Holmes seems like the type to need maintenance spankings, or else he’ll get out of hand. Is Mikotoba cautious, out of a lack of experience with men, or does he take a firm hand with Holmes? I’m very attached to bratty bottom Holmes, though sweet and tender lovemaking is just as wonderful. Seeing interpretations of their first time after ten years is one of my favourite scenarios. And now that they’re sometimes living with a full house of youngsters, do they ever get caught or have to scramble frantically to disguise what they were up to?

Asougi Genshin / Barok van Zieks / Klint van Zieks & Mikotoba Yuujin / Sherlock Holmes

For these five, I'd love to see a combination of any of the above prompts. Or, go wild with casefic! Are they all in on each other's relationships? Do they bond through them? Maybe Holmes sees through everyone, and tries to play matchmaker.

  • Gore & torture beyond canon-typical levels
  • Unrequested gender headcanons

This is a monster of a canon, and I salute everyone who is up to date (or anyone who has remotely attempted to keep up)! My requests mainly revolve around the Nagano police force members, as well as the Akai/Miyano family + Amuro | Rei - whatever you'd like to call him - but I would be more than happy to see other Conan-universe characters thrown in here. I am also happy to see (background) canonical ships, as well as any implications of, or references to, slash pairings within Rei's friend group (Rei/Hiromitsu, Matsuda/Hagiwara, etc.). Generally, I adore casefic, BO shenanigans and even action scenes, but I'd be perfectly happy to receive something with a more emotional focus, or something centred upon recovery or other types of aftermath - essentially anything, honestly :D

When it comes to the numerous aliases these characters use, I'm fine with choosing any which one as the narrative voice. Maybe when he's acting as Amuro, Furuya Rei thinks of himself as "Amuro". Or maybe he's always "Rei" in his head, which is the way he keeps his sanity and sense of identity? On the contrary, has Haibara accepted that her name is now "Ai", or does she think of herself as "Shiho" still, in the privacy of her own mind, the only one to ever call herself by her name? (Until, Akai...)

Morofushi Takaaki (Koumei) / Yamato Kansuke ( / Uehara Yui )

The Nagano Trio! Ever since they were introduced in the Fuurinkazan & Red Wall cases, I've been extremely invested in these three. Kansuke, the one who ties them together, is such a fascinating figure in terms of his history and personality both. I'm super curious about his accident, and even more interested in the immediate aftermath. He's such a tsundere through and through <3 His little "rivalry" with Morofushi that serves as a decoy for their behaviour (most of the time) and his prickly-yet-sweet attitude towards Yui are always fun to watch. Love his crooked smile and rough speech too!

Yui's decision to marry into the Torada family for the sake of continuing the investigation into Kai's death following "Kan-chan's" accident also interests me. What really stands out to me as her strong points are her devotion to her loved ones and to uncovering the truth. And, her crush on Kansuke is adorable! I wonder if she's ever discussed her feelings with Morofushi? (More on this below.)

As for Koumei (Morofushi), I love how his calm personality contrasts Kansuke's, and the way he has quotes ready for any situation. His reaction to Kansuke's accident (ie. defying all orders to search for him, leading to his demotion) is probably what made me fall for him in the first place. The more we find out about his little brother and the murder of their parents, the more I feel for him. How much pain is he hiding inside - or is he the type that knows how to heal and let things go?

He's definitely someone with a deep love of manners, procedure, and showing respect. His fascination with Chinese philosophies, the way he has a quote prepared for every situation... these are such quintessential Koumei traits that I've grown very fond of seeing. He also seems to have an eye for art, based off his commentary during the Kaitou Kid case he was involved in. Tell me more!! In addition, I know that in the moment, his reaction was due to Kansuke hiding in the trunk, but the thought of him being protective of his car is rather funny. I've also started to find the way he pulls on his gloves before starting an investigation very sexy >///<

I'm interested in his tendency to act alone — sometimes it feels like he takes pride in succeeding without outside help. As Kansuke says, once he starts pursuing a theory, he becomes so invested that he stops seeing the world around himself, to the extent of attempting to cross dangerous bridges as though they are nothing (metaphorically and literally!).

On Kansuke and Koumei

I do feel that there is a genuine bond between Kansuke and Koumei that goes well beyond the long-lasting rivalry they display to the world. And the way they play up said natural rivalry in order to deceive even their coworkers especially makes me think that a good chunk of it is for show. They claim that they don't think of each other as "great friends" - maybe because they're something else?~

They also strike me as rather protective! (Both literally — sending officers after each other pretending to "tail" them, but really meant for extra backup — and reputation-wise.) It also really feels like they (pretend to) investigate one another for the sake of keeping their friend's reputation clear, as opposed to actually suspecting the other. How many times will they pull this stunt, huh?! And despite his rough attitude, Kansuke clearly pays close attention to Koumei. More than once, he distracts Yui with a banal comment in order to give Koumei privacy or leeway to carry out a task. I get shivers every time Morofushi calls him "Kansuke-kun" ❤︎

Some moments I've been thinking about: Koumei's insubordination during Kansuke's accident. Kansuke's intense worry about Koumei's safety despite "suspecting" him moments prior. Kansuke is such a worrier - for instance, he calls Koumei after midnight during the Kid investigation, and he sounds like a nagging spouse! (Despite ostensibly calling for dramatic updates on behalf of the office.)

With added Yui

Yui treats Koumei with distance and respect (addressing him as Morofushi-keibu), but the scene where she's clutching his unconscious form after rescuing him from the burning mansion really gets me going. It definitely makes me want to see her and Kansuke spoiling Morofushi. Strong Yui is so exciting! They also seem perfectly comfortable with physical contact: when Koumei wakes up in the hospital, the way he grips onto Yui for support is super intimate. Yui seems fond enough of Koumei, and allows him to touch her casually on several other occasions. And speaking of familiarity, Yui even remembered that Koumei had a younger brother in the MPD. Even though they're rarely treated as childhood friends (it's always Yui and Kansuke and Kai, Kansuke and his unnamed deceased friend, Kansuke and Koumei), they do appear to have some unmentioned history going on.

I get the feeling Kansuke and Yui sometimes gang up on Koumei for fun (they were having way too much fun during that climactic scene at the conclusion of the red wall case. Also, their acting!? Yui seems so smug) Did they give Koumei a loser look on purpose, so that they could have the chance to mock him...? When the trio rile each other up, it's practically foreplay. Why can't they ever be straightforward!? Their banter, especially teasing Kansuke about things the historical Yamato Kansuke did, or the ongoing joke about Yui's bad coffee, is very funny.

At times, Koumei gives me the impression that he tries to keep out of the Yui/Kansuke dynamic. At one point, in an unrelated context, he says: 'Outsiders shouldn't interfere in close relationships between people' - does he try to stay away from Kansuke and Yui because of this philosophy? This really makes me wonder how much Yui has discussed her feelings for Kansuke with him, and whether she is aware of his own in turn.

Optional Prompts

I'd be thrilled to see these guys in any context! I'm interested in the circumstances surrounding Kansuke's accident - Koumei and Yui believing him dead, Yui quitting the force and immediately marrying into the Toradas, Koumei purposefully defying orders on the off-chance Kansuke survived (and eventually finding him!), Kansuke waking to his whole world changed, both by injury and in circumstances. What was his rehabilitation like, and how much did these two assist him? Morofushi is aware of the route for his rehabilitation walk...

I'm interested in their childhood: growing up together admiring Kai-san, the adventures of "Koumei-kun from Second Grade Class A!" and his rivalry with Kansuke, the murder of Morofushi's parents and how it might have affected his life; all of it is so intriguing!

What were their relations like in the earlier days, when they were adults working together, not yet having fallen victim to the tragedies that would await them? Minus Koumei, who of course had significant family troubles. Do Koumei and Yui know about what happened, and how do they console him about it?

What was it like when they collectively decided to enter the police force? Did they go through training together? Given that only Kansuke is mentioned to have been a part of Takeda's squad, were they all separated, or not? Since Yui discovered Kai's body in a small village alone, fresh off joining the force, what were her circumstances at the time?

I'm very partial to seeing more of the Kansuke/Koumei duo. Maybe they're investigating together, whether in childhood or as fully-fledged policemen. Or, how they get together after much pining and maybe some physical intimacy. Does Koumei ever stay over, or eventually move in to Kansuke's? If Yui's involved, I'm curious about whether she and Koumei are also romantically attracted to each other, or platonically together, sharing their love for Kansuke. If you're up for writing sex, I'd love to see bottom!Morofushi getting bullied dominated by the other two, hehe.

I always enjoy panicking over a lover's safety (I can hear Kansuke screaming "KOUMEI" now! :D ) and the hurt/comfort that follows. Whump is always appreciated!

Akai Shuuichi (/Amuro Tooru | Furuya Rei) & Miyano Shiho | Haibara Ai

Ai's relationship with these former NOCs who have ties to her family members (or in Akai's case, are a part of her extended family) is something I feel canon never delivers enough of, and I'm desperate to see them interact properly for once.

The BO has shaped Ai's formative years, and it's so hard to watch her paranoia take over. Poor Shiho! At this point, I think she needs the commiseration of someone who has also lived through the organisation's drama, because who else could understand? I think she's set up a good life for herself, living with the Professor and having access to a lab of her own, with friends she enjoys spending time with, giving her the childhood she missed out on. Ai's teenage tendencies sometimes show themselves though, which is always cute! Like her love of fashion and the Fusae brand, interest in love affairs, obsession with soccer player Higo, and so on. As for Akai - I'm attached to his long hair. I hope he grows it out again after the BO takedown! I do believe his relationship with Akemi was genuine, and I'm sure that shapes his protectiveness of Shiho, and need (or promise? if you subscribe to that theory) to keep her safe.

Their current living arrangements - with Akai secretly watching over her from next door - is a perfect set-up for shenanigans. I'm really interested in Ai's developing suspicion of Akai/Subaru as someone she knows (who may or may not be Moroboshi Dai-kun). Additionally, it's very fun to see Akai being forced into doing non-Akai things as Subaru in order to keep up the act. Does Ai ever take advantage of his disguise to tease him in that way?

Some thoughts on Akai/Amuro

Mr. "My lover is Japan" really went "I always think of you, Akai Shuuichi. If I could forget you..." in the first episode of Zero's Tea Time, huh...

The ongoing tension between Akai and Amuro as a result of Scotch's death really gets me going! While I'm fairly sure Amuro knows that Scotch pulled the trigger on himself, it seems that Akai is still hiding the truth about Rei's arrival being the reason for their distraction and panic. It makes me wonder if Akai is using Amuro's hatred of him as a way of keeping him alive and running, because if Rei knew he was the reason for Scotch's death... I'm sure he'd end up on a death mission sooner than later.

He must be so lonely, living a life of solitude as a triple-faced double agent after his friends all died in the line of duty. If you're familiar with the spin-off, "Zero's Tea Time", I'd love to see some of the lore included - like Haro, the dog he adopts, or the way he loves his car, stays up ridiculous hours and involves himself in foiling any crime he happens on during his day. Amuro's so knowledgeable about everything, just like Shinichi! And kind beyond belief (though his attitude towards Akai and jobs he undertakes for the BO seem to suggest otherwise). I always enjoy whenever he acts like a tsundere. I'll never forget that he's the type to get himself hurt on purpose for attention...!

How much does Akai know (or uncover) about that double triple life of his, and does he ever purposefully involve himself in Amuro's day? What is he truly thinking, behind that stoic face of his? I find the idea of Okiya Subaru dropping in on Poirot to keep an eye on Amuro absolutely hilarious.

Amuro & Shiho

Surely Rei must be aware of Shiho's origins - and yet, he was still prepared to go through with her elimination during the Mystery Train arc. Does he blame her for her mother's death, somehow? Perhaps for her parents choosing to join the organisation after finding out they were having a second child?

I really want to see an honest conversation between the two of them, with all of their secrets out in the open. I think they could be on good terms, if they put the past behind them. Though, the initial mess between them sure would be interesting to explore...especially if Akai is around.

*

If you'd like to write something about a mix of these pairings, I'm very interested in the Morofushi - Amuro connection. Poor Koumei, finding out about his brother's death so abruptly! Notably, he also met both Rum and Bourbon/Zero during the snowy Nagano case. I can't imagine Rum not recognising the visual similarities between him and Scotch, the traitor. Is there any backlash following this event? What would happen if the Nagano trio had a brush with the organisation?

THE HARDY BOYS

Frank / Joe Hardy
Frank / Joe & Fenton Hardy
Frank / Joe / Fenton Hardy

Requested Formats
10,000-word fic or two 5000-word fics

DNWs
  • Amputation/Dismemberment or permanent loss of body parts (eyes, teeth, etc.)
  • Body Modification
  • Frank & Joe having past sexual experience with others
  • Gore
  • Non-canonical gender identity headcanons
  • Vore

I've been a fan of this series for decades, and was recently shocked upon discovering that there is a dearth of slash content *that I can find for these brothers; how could that be?! I aim to rectify this immediately :D

While this is a mystery series and I do adore casefic, I'd be equally happy with receiving something more domestic, or relationship-focused; anything about the Hardys, really!

In terms of general dynamics, I like Frank to be the outwardly level-headed, internally worrying brother. Maybe he's more realistic about their relationship, and his natural introversion gives him a tendency to hold back. I would love to see him on the receiving end of whump, for once! I adore bottom Frank <3

On the other hand, I enjoy seeing Joe portrayed as the one pursuing Frank more aggressively. Maybe he's comparatively open about coveting his brother? Feel free to lean in to his impetuous, extraverted, perhaps slightly more aggressive side! I'd be thrilled to see him topping Frank with his shorter, broader stature :D

Meanwhile, for Fenton, I'm happy to see him as his usual caring self. TV Tropes describes him as a "Standard 50's Father", which I can definitely see. I love it when he gets whumped, or even better, forced to watch/participate in the hurt of his sons :D

When it comes to their canonical relationships:

The girlfriends (Callie and Iola) can be hand-waved, treated as 'only friends', or even beards (they may or may not be in the know, they might assume it's for undercover purposes). I'd prefer if they never had sexual experience with the boys, so that the brothers can spend their first times together.

As for Fenton's marriage, feel free to treat it as the plot requires! I have no preferences either way :D

Optional Prompts

Are the brothers in an established relationship, or still in the pining/getting together phases? It would be great to see Joe convincing Frank to deepen their relationship despite his initial reluctance and clear reciprocation.

What happens when it's time for Frank to depart for college? Is uni (for one or both of them) a good chance to allow their relationship to progress? Or is Frank set on moving out of guilt over his attraction to Joe, and Joe desperate to follow, out of loneliness or something more?

What's Fenton's stance on all of this? I'd be very interested in seeing something where he (and perhaps the rest of the family) discover the brothers' intimate relationship. Had he figured them out long ago, and did he turn a blind eye? Or does he only understand the extent of their closeness once they move away? How do Laura and/or Aunt Gertrude react?

Canon loves to get Joe in trouble, so for once Frank can be the one who gets whumped! If the situation calls for it, it would be fun to see outsiders (friends, family, their aggressors) commenting on their 'brotherly' relationship, or maybe even (coming close to) finding them out. The thought of Frank and Joe having to sneak around Fenton is particularly funny to me; on the other hand, it's a great setup for angst if he's involved in the mutual dub/non-con scenario...

I can never get enough of hurt Frank, though hurt Fenton is a close second. And of course, situations where all three are in trouble are just as delicious. The hurt does not have to be physical, either (despite this canon's propensity for kidnapping and assault)! Maybe they end up being put through the emotional wringer instead?

Mutual non-con is another delicious approach to take! I'd be thrilled to see this with Fenton involved as well - maybe he's forced to watch, or even worse, participate?! (Top/Bottom Fenton welcome!)

Additional Ideas

  • "Trauma recovery" (ie. copious amounts of intimacy) following a particularly harrowing case/experience
  • Oh no, what happened to Dad (again)?!
  • Angsting over a family member who is presumed to be dead
  • A scandal might break out in Bayport if the truth about the Hardys is released; the family copes and serious discussions are had

HARRY POTTER

Sirius Black / Remus Lupin & Harry Potter

Requested Formats
10,000-word fic

DNWs
  • Amputation & permanent loss of body parts (eyes, teeth, limbs)
  • Falling out of Love
  • Gore and horror beyond canon-typical levels
  • Graphic depictions of extreme torture
  • Implications of relationships (past or present) outside of requested pairings
    • Including Remus/Tonks
    • Exceptions: Harry's canonical crushes, one-sided crushing by Tonks
    • Note: this is referring to what happens between characters in the requested relationship(s) only. Background/other separate relationships involving different characters are very welcome!
  • Infidelity
  • Male omegas with vaginas instead of penises
  • Unrequested gender headcanons
  • Vore

I want to see Harry getting all the love and guidance from his godfather + his father's dear friend/his godfather's partner. I imagine Remus was originally meant to be connected to Harry through his relationship with Sirius, but I also like the idea of Harry clinging onto him after having bonded deeply with Remus during POA.

On the Harry and Remus relationship: I am absolutely hooked on all the glimpses we get of the two of them interacting, especially during POA. How Harry comes to trust him deeply and worry about him constantly always gets me going. In AUs where they meet again during Harry's childhood, I always enjoy when Harry comes to see him as a parental figure, and seeing Remus devoting himself entirely to Harry.

As for Harry and Sirius, I always wonder what things between them would've been like if Sirius were in a better place, mentally. Would he still be accidentally comparing Harry to James? Treating him as more of a friend than a son? As desperate as he is for a guardian who loves him, does Harry ever find fault with Sirius' ways? As for what we get from them in canon, my favourite moments between them are always the emotional ones that demonstrate the depths of loyalty and love they have for each other (every reunion or death scene, the sacrifices Sirius made to stay close to Harry in GOF, the way Harry pines for Sirius from OOTP on, etc.).

In terms of Remus/Sirius, I'm happy to see them either in an established relationship, or getting together/mutually pining at some point in the fic. Their banter is fun, and I do enjoy seeing them lean on one another to help process their shared trauma. When it comes to their relationship being affected by 'The Prank' and 'the spy', I usually tend to enjoy more lenient portrayals of the circumstances. For instance, using misunderstandings and miscommunications to obfuscate the situation as opposed to outright betrayals or suspicions of the other.
I have a slight preference for the novel depictions (ie. Sirius being taller than Remus & Harry both, Padfoot being around the same size as Moony) as well as Sirius topping Remus should you be inclined to include some penetrative sex, but this is by no means set in stone! So feel free to go with their movie visuals, or play around with the sexual dynamics.

I am fond of canon divergence, especially if you'd like to ensure Sirius (and later Remus) survive(s), but don't feel forced to branch off too far from the books if that's not your thing.

Optional Prompts

I'm super interested in AUs where Sirius and Remus raise a young Harry. Maybe they're together, or it starts off as one of them single-parenting before the other somehow joins them. Pre-Hogwarts Harry is fun for this, but so is teenage Harry, especially in the earlier years! I have no particular preference for how Sirius evades or escapes imprisonment in Azkaban. What's up with the Dursleys here - is there any abuse towards Harry? How do Sirius and Remus help him deal with the trauma as they start their new lives together? I'm also curious about Sirius' mental state, and whatever healing he has to go through. For a Hogwarts-aged Harry, does he ever receive visits from his guardians, or are they teaching at the school?

I also really like the idea of an AU wherein Harry meets Sirius prior to the prisoner of Azkaban, and gets to know his imprisoned godfather. How does he find out about him, and what's their relationship like? Does Harry make trips to Azkaban, or is there some sort of magic facilitating distance visits? What about Remus - is he in on the situation, or is Sirius the one to open up lines of communication between him and Harry? What happens with Harry's guardianship? There are so many implications to explore here, and I'm crazy for all of them.

If you'd prefer to focus on the canon timeframe, how about: a reimagining of GOF where Sirius and/or Remus play more of an active role as Harry's guardians? I'll never stop being sad that Remus and Snuffles weren't the ones visiting Harry before the final task .__. Maybe they can also brainstorm about the tasks together? OR! OOTP but more shippy and possibly with a happier ending?

I'd also really love to see any kind of POA AU. I'm fond of the classic 'Harry takes in the Grim he meets at Magnolia Crescent, and so Padfoot accompanies him to Hogwarts' storyline. Alternatively, any reimagining where Sirius and Remus get to talking at any point before the confrontation in the shack is wonderful. Really, go wild with anything you can come up with for this one.

Inspector Irratino / Deductive Logico

I’ve gotten very hooked on solving these daily puzzles, all because of this crazy entertaining detective/inspector pair. I love the contrast between Logico’s and Irratino’s approaches. Every Sunday date night brings me such joy! I’ve only been playing since May, but I'd appreciate any references to puzzles I have missed.

I’m very much into ships with a lot of pining and cluelessness on at least one side. I also dig detective plus their partner pairings, Holmes/Watson style or otherwise. The juxtaposition of “logic” vs “occult” is very fun, and produces some great arguments over which one is best. Despite their disagreements, they still enjoy each other’s company! <3

I live for Sundays nowadays when we get date night! Pasta dinners, math lectures and bar visits are very much them. I also look forward to Logico’s surprise and anger over Irratino’s death (which he’s so distraught about, he can’t even clue in to the fact that it’s fake…). Otherwise, I enjoy the concept of Irratino’s occult-ish hints and the fact that Logico needs them in the first place :D Also, Irratino’s smugness if you make the wrong accusation is hilarious.

I enjoy Logico’s ‘logical’ personality, and how it often falls apart when it comes to Irratino. Especially his distress at the weekly deaths, and how he’ll support Irratino’s occult endeavours despite not believing in it himself. He might describe Irratino as “his old rival, antagonist and friend” but clearly the affection runs much deeper than that… as evidenced by the fact that he notes down astrological signs on his note cards despite not being a believer. I find it funny how he encounters deaths everywhere he goes – he’s like the classic shingami character.

I’m intrigued by Irratino’s choices in faking his death weekly to get Logico’s attention. He’s coming on to Logico so strongly! Why won't Logico notice his pining?! I love the image of his long hair and slight stature – I wonder if he ties it back regularly?

For these two, I‘d love to see an exploration of their backstory: how they met, fell for one another, how the "dates" started, what led to Irratino’s death faking, etc. I’m also very interested in their respective headspaces, particularly when it comes to logic/occult and their feelings. I’m also interested in the reactions of their coworkers, the daily criminals (“murdlers”), and other bystanders, about their ridiculous flirting. I’m convinced they must be at the point of going on holidays together, because how else would Irratino be around to provide hints?!

I’m more interested in a practical take as opposed to a magical/fantastical one (say, where Irratino is actually dying every Sunday) for this exchange. Of course, feel free to play up the occult-ish canonical elements - such as the spooky locations (ex: the Old Ruins).

Optional Prompts

  • Just a series of scenes where everyone’s constantly thinking or saying “why aren’t they together yet?/are they dating?” Alternatively, Irratino consults coworkers/suspects/bystanders about how to properly ask Logico out. Does Irratino construct a grid? Is Logico still clueless, or has he actually known/reciprocated all along?
  • The first time Irratino fakes his death. Logico’s grief. (Also: how did Irratino develop this scheme? For attention? Is it an inside joke these days? Is he doing it to try and awaken Logico's latent feelings for him?)
  • One day, Logico is fed up of yet another fake Sunday death. The fallout is disastrous. Based off of the "Surely, this time he wasn't faking it. That would just be too much." line.
  • For once, they find themselves in a REAL life-threatening situation! Is one of them savvy in self-defence? (I’d love for this to lead to a confession scene, romantic hurt/comfort or even sex.)
  • Getting trapped by a bad guy and forced to have sex, oh no!
  • During one of the recent Sunday Murdles, Irratino’s body was found in the spa. I have to assume this means he was discovered in the nude… Logico reacts.
  • Create a new weekly date night! How does it go? Are they together yet or is this a ‘friendly’ date with both parties wanting more? Do they get intimate afterwards?
  • Every time one of them attempts a confession, a new murder occurs in their immediate surroundings. No wonder they're so cranky!
  • Logico and Irratino have yet another debate over grids versus tarot cards. How long has this argument been going on - years? Decades??

Worldbuilding

If you’re looking for more material from outside canons, I love mystery series (ex: Detective Conan, the complete Ace Attorney series, Hardy Boys & Nancy Drew, Sherlock Holmes, etc.), so feel free to draw upon those worlds/conventions or even create a crossover if that’s helpful! No pressure to go for casefic, however.

As touched upon above, I'm interested in exploring the eccentric cast and locations Murdle introduces. Are prison sentences ridiculously short in Murdle-world? Does Logico ever pick up on the repeated infractions of the criminals he catches? Is there corruption everywhere, and does Logico just never draw attention to it? What kind of police force do they have, for rational Deductive Logico to be widely renowned, and Irratino just as much (especially since they seem to constantly travel together and consider the other a "rival")? Is there some massive conspiracy going on to mess with the legal profession? What happens in their courts, and what is up with that high-end, luxurious prison we visit every Sunday?!

バチカン奇跡調査官

I love this wacky cast of crazy sweethearts from the bottom of my heart. I enjoy reading about them in all settings — from solving crazy mysteries to (rare) quiet, domestic settings. Of course, feel free to throw in some canon-typical horror/violence/insanity along the way. I wouldn’t mind some darker fic (along the lines of non-con, injury, death) or some emotional breakdowns and tears. If offscreen, I can deal with canon-typical levels of (body) horror. On the other end, I also love domestic fluff for the whole Hiraga (+ Roberto) family! Hurt/comfort is very suitable to this canon, as is any degree of angst. I also enjoy AUs, whether they be canon divergence only or things like Soulmate AU/Omegaverse. In other words, anything goes!

I enjoy how this series is intellectually stimulating (I'm a huge mystery fan!), while balancing out domestic fluff, existential angst, and whump. I came for the religious aesthetic, promises of early music, and the two male leads whom I thought might be ship-worthy. I stayed despite the horror tag because of the promise of something more to Hiraga & Roberto’s relationship, even if it turned into a decade-long slow burn. Roberto’s arc (the Sofuma trip) is probably my most favourite arc ever, and I knew from the moment it wrapped up that this fandom would become a lifelong obsession. Aside from the two protagonists, my next-favourite character is Hiraga Jin (Hiraga’s father).

P.S.: I’m both an anime watcher and a novel reader, so any canon/characters are fine by me! I’ve read most of the novels, and so I would be delighted to see anyone from the extensive cast.

Hiraga Josef Kou / Roberto Nicholas

I adore how this pair interacts, how codependent their dynamic is and how much they care for one another. Pining and miscommunication is par for the course with them, despite being literal super geniuses. I’m very into the contrast between the two: Hiraga’s innocence and naivety versus Roberto’s maturity and jadedness, the size difference and contrasting specialties, their colour schemes, and more. Go wild with anything - crazy cases, danger at the Vatican, relaxing days off, breaking vows…

My favourite shippy moments include: the mouth-to-mouth when Hiraga feeds an unconscious Roberto water; The Suckening Scene & Roberto’s awakening; “I’ve come to love you more and more!”; anytime Roberto saves Hiraga, particularly when he’s using his body like a meat shield; when Roberto tells Hiraga that “you’re my life’s treasure”; Roberto’s many Hiraga hallucinations; Hiraga falling apart when Roberto gets kidnapped and crying; casually giving Hiraga a piggyback or carrying him on his shoulders COMPLETELY NATURALLY IN FRONT OF OTHER PEOPLE; every single cooking scene and exchange of casual touches… There are too many to list them all!

I love how Roberto is such a mess (said with affection). He’s book smart and super capable all around - a true Renaissance man - but he somehow turns into an absolute idiot when it comes to his own safety and just everything Hiraga. He might as well walk around wearing a giant sign saying “Hiraga is my biggest weakness. I would break my vows and die for him” in flashing neon lights (though he wouldn’t because what a terrible aesthetic that would be). Hiraga would also not survive without him, since he basically runs Hiraga’s domestic life. I enjoy how he cooks as stress relief and relentlessly chases after knowledge. I’m smitten with his self-destructiveness and self-hatred. Roberto whump scenes will never not be my favourite.

Hiraga is also a genius mess, without the same deep self-hatred. It’s inspiring to me how he always thinks the best of people and has love for literally everything. His faith is beautiful, and his admission that he would cast it aside if Ryouta died is also very telling. I suspect he is somewhere on the spectrum, as many geniuses are. Watching him hyperfixate and constantly fail to read the mood is always fun (sorry, Hiraga). Though his character has developed from how he was described in the first book, I’ll always be attached to the portrayal of him as constantly anxious and worrying about doing mundane things correctly. While being an absolute domestic mess, he would do anything for Roberto. His multiple attempts at proposals (matching brain scans, renovating his house for Roberto, searching for new recipes to try) are hilarious and make me feel a little bad for him sometimes. I adore how clueless and protective he is at times. If he ever lost Roberto, I’m certain he would fall deep into a dark pit of despair…

In terms of their ship dynamics, I'm fond of seeing their canon-typical interactions taken to the next level. Seeing Roberto in a caretaker/service sub-type role is always fun, and so are Hiraga's clumsy attempts to do something nice for Roberto (especially when Roberto is healed by his mere presence)! I enjoy explorations of tension wherein they're hovering on the verge of something deeper, and would absolutely love to see them break their vows outright and go for it. Also, the aftermath of said happenings is incredibly juicy, no matter where you take it!

If you’re up for writing penetrative sex (for these Catholic priests, I know), I lean heavily towards bottom!Roberto, but have no objections about switching! I have a slight obsession with seeing Roberto cry during intimacy. I’m also very into the ‘super-handsome-intelligent-attractive-brilliant-Roberto-is-a-virgin-gasp!-no-way’ thing. For this exchange, I'd prefer for them to be each other's firsts, without any prior romantic or (consensual) sexual experience. Having past non-con is totally fine, however (e.g. abuse by clergy members in childhood).

The Hiraga family with Hiraga Josef Kou / Roberto Nicholas
(Jin & Ryouta)

After all he's been through, it would be really nice for Roberto to find himself adopted (not legally per se, but that's also an option!) into a nice family who would love him to pieces. If only there were one around... oh, wait! :D I'm sure Jin and Ryouta already care for him deeply, having heard years of Kou's praise for him. Do they meet during another visit to Baden Hospital? Or is Roberto ever invited to their home in Germany? How about a Hiraga family trip to the Vatican, to pray for Ryouta's ongoing recovery? Of course, feel free to pick a completely different setting. Something set in healthy!Ryouta times could be fun - maybe musician Jin is playing a concert in Rome? Or they accidentally meet up during an investigation in the U.S.A.? AUs are also very welcome.

I am deeply obsessed with Hiraga Jin... and by that, I mean I think about him every day. It's a little ridiculous for a character with mere seconds of screen time and barely a chapter or two in over a decade's worth of books >///< From what I've read about him, Jin is a musician who travels a lot for work and seems to have a good sense of humour. He would make such a wonderful father figure for poor Roberto! I tend to headcanon them as a little similar in terms of their skill with socialising, general knowledge (perhaps he has the trappings of a Renaissance man as well?) and so on - the skills Hiraga (Kou) is weak in. I also imagine him to be a classical musician. There's no canon basis for portraying him as a vocalist, but that's my current fixation!

Hiraga Josef Kou / Roberto Nicholas & Hiraga Ryouta / Josef Lycolas Bartridge

These two make for an unlikely ship, but that hasn’t stopped me yet. I see so much potential in them following the events of Sinfonia/Episode 12. They share a lot of parallels: terminal illness and long-term hospitalization, pining (platonically?), searching for meaning, and so on.

I’m drawn to Ryouta's purity and his ties to the supernatural. He’s wise in a way that suggests he had to grow up too fast following Ada’s (his mother’s) death, and the appearance of the hooded figures. Knowing someone near him is meant to die soon must be such an incredible burden, especially for one so young who also has to grapple with his impending death. I see a lot of similarities with Roberto in him, especially his tendency for self-sacrifice and deep love for his older brother.

As for Josef, he also carries that same grief and desperation for meaning over his looming demise. I’m quite intrigued by how he was beloved by all during his boarding school days. He’s the mentor figure for Roberto and Ryouta, which has a lot of potential for exploration. His method of enticing Roberto to begin speaking through curiosity really raises a lot of questions for me about his personality. I wonder to what extent he embodies Hiraga’s traits too.

There’s some great potential here for ghost!Josef, or coma!Josef/amnesiac! Josef who was alive all along. They might bond over Roberto, extended hospitalization, books, and all sorts of wonderful things. What does Ryouta think of Josef and the Roberto/Hiraga situation? Do they pine after Roberto together, knowing he’s best off in Hiraga’s grasp? Or does Josef start to fall for the bits of Roberto he sees in Ryouta, and Ryouta the same re: his brother? Maybe they get over their respective crushes for Hiraga/Roberto by falling for each other. There’s also potential for all sorts of wacky AUs wherein Josef protects Ryouta from death, illness, the three hooded men, etc. Alternatively, go the dark route where Ryouta finally passes from illness and Josef is there to guide him to the afterlife. And, can't forget about Galdoune! Are they involved in this pair's survival? Do they ever spirit them away?

What do Hiraga and Roberto make of this improbable pair? Maybe Roberto encourages them, believing that they're good for each other. While I DNW-ed 'past relationships', I'm okay with Roberto having had a crush on Josef. Does Hiraga get over-protective over his brother, or is he simply happy that Ryouta is living long enough to have all of these novel life experiences?

Optional Prompts (all relationships)

they = Roberto/Hiraga, probably

  • Hiraga is furious with Roberto over yet another act of self-sacrifice
  • Hiraga taking care of Roberto post-whump
  • How Hiraga finally gets it into Roberto’s thick skull that he loves him
  • A traumatised Roberto goes mute again, and Hiraga must pull him out of it.
  • Meeting family members, and/or other people from their pasts. I’d be interested to see how they’ve changed since meeting each other.
  • Hiraga turns to BDSM to help Roberto cope with trauma & stop acting self-destructively
↳ OR Hiraga uses sex as a tool to keep depressed!Roberto content and alive

Suggestions include: service!sub Roberto (while pining) & praise kink!Roberto (while pining)

Also, Hiraga's unusual science kinks (you know he has them)
  • After another disastrous mission wherein Roberto nearly loses his life, Hiraga is beyond his wits' end and takes Roberto over his knee
  • Generally, Roberto finding a reason that makes life worth living - subbing for Hiraga, who has no domestic skills to speak of and who would relapse without his care!
  • Roberto's deep hidden desire is to sub for Hiraga, if only to express the extent of his devotion. Finally, he's granted the opportunity...!
  • Consummating their relationship whilst in the middle of an investigation.
  • Mutual non-con where they're forced to break their vows, i.e., bad guys made them do it, actually enabling them. Or, they vastly misinterpreted the situation. Maybe with a side of religious guilt, and possibly threats of medical experimentation.
  • An exorcism goes wrong, and a demon exploits their hidden feelings.
  • Resolution of pining leads to getting together and holding their wedding night at last. Or any excuse for consummating their relationship.
  • Pregnant Roberto is bearing Hiraga's child!? (This could be a miracle, omegaverse, or any excuse, really.)
  • Galdoune (or another enemy) finally succeeds in bringing about Roberto's undoing. Maybe through suicide, maybe through an "accident" or outright murder. Hiraga goes to extreme lengths to bring him back to life.
  • General misunderstandings about the state of their relationship: does one of them think they're dating? Or, thinks that they've already been rejected? (I can see this going either way) Are Jin and Ryouta involved?
  • Undercover on a case where they're forced to fake a relationship. Much pining ensues...
  • Ridiculous foreplay and blasphemy as pillow talk
  • Hiraga's strange science kinks make their way into the bedroom (you know he has them)
  • Either Hiraga or Roberto is ridiculously endowed. If it's Roberto, cue Hiraga's oral fixation & extensive body worship. If it's Hiraga, Roberto can discover his size queen side :D
  • Casefic where Hiraga's family accidentally winds up involved. Or Roberto's! (Again.)
  • Stuff goes down at the Baden hospital…
  • Ghost!Josef comforts Ryouta
  • Ryouta can sees ghosts/spirits, and therefore is the only one to see Josef hanging around
  • Josef is alive and becomes Ryouta's confidant. Do Roberto and the Hiragas find out eventually? What sort of secrets does Ryouta confide in him? (Clearly he’s an adult by now, but feel free to play around with hospitalization regulations or have him be cured already.)
  • One day, Ryouta is kidnapped by Galdoune for experimentation purposes, and meets Josef, author of the journal he found in the hospital library
  • Soul sharing, or Ryouta as Josef’s reincarnation
