Thank you so much for creating for me this time around! I’m really looking forward to reading what you come up with.

 

Don’t worry if things look unbalanced - I wanted to include all the tags and so certain fandoms with many pairings appear more bloated than others. I’d be over the moon to receive fic for any of my requests!!

 

I tried to strike a balance between allowing the prompts to do the talking for themselves, and suggesting set-ups or scenarios in which they might occur. Either or Both Hurt

I imagine the sexual relationship between these two looked very different pre versus post Professor case. Maybe young, inexperienced Barok was much more of a willing submissive and bottom - however, after he started to hate Genshin, he became the dominant, aggressive figure we see in the game, with a buried soft side? I'm open to many interpretations of these two! I see Barok as more of a bottom, especially when Genshin was introducing him to the mechanisms of intimacy, but would definitely enjoy him topping Genshin either in his younger, innocent days, or in his Professor-induced rage. If you choose a post-canon setting, I would be happy to read about how Barok's guilt manifests itself during intercourse.

Re: the "focus on Genshin's wife & their romance" DNW - When it comes to Genshin's wife, I'd prefer their marriage is treated as arranged, or considered a solely familial bond as opposed to an actively romantic one. If you're more comfortable writing them as a love marriage, that's alright; in that case, I'd like to not spend much time on Genshin's romantic feelings towards his wife. I'd be fine with these two going through a moral dilemma about becoming adulterers, though I'd also like it if Genshin pursuing male lovers while married was considered acceptable as per shuudou practices.


Optional Prompts

Both Barok and Genshin cope poorly with Klint's (impending?) wedding, which unintentionally leads to the consummation of their own friendship/relationship... they might also do something similar in the wake of Klint's untimely death.

Barok will not accept Genshin's guilt in the Professor case. In order to save him from Stronghart, Genshin must convince him of his guilt in the only way he has left to him from within his cell - with his body. (Or with Karuma?)

The theft of Genshin's ring goes awry. 
Or, hurt/comfort sex after they've made it to safety - featuring hand/finger/injury kink.

Following his failed execution and near death, Genshin who has nowhere to go and ends up at Barok's doorstep. This could be immediately, or some time after the dust has settled when Genshin can no longer survive on his own. (If you really want to push it, this could line up nicely with Barok's 5-year break...!)

In the time between Genshin's trial and Barok's own trial 10 years later, Barok finds himself unable to forget about his lust for Genshin despite his hatred of the man. Maybe he thinks or dreams about him in an erotic manner? Or reluctantly gets up to some hanky-panky with dead!Genshin/past!Genshin?

Post canon, Barok has a long-overdue talk with Genshin's ghost which leads to something more. Maybe Genshin comes back to life, or maybe he stays dead.

Post canon, Genshin suddenly reappears in front of Barok after the resolution of the Professor case. Barok copes with his reappearance and complicated feelings for him. Genshin readjusts to life as an innocent man, and sorts through the past 10 years of suffering from the moment he found out Klint was the Professor.

Post canon, Barok finally visits Genshin's grave and re-evaluates his feelings for the man who took down his brother.

Witnessing Your Friend's Mock Execution: I don't know how this happens but it does and everyone suffers!

Genshin / Barok / Klint
All Hurt

As stated in the individual relationship sections for all permutations of these three, I encourage swapping twosome prompts (and tags, if desired) with those from the threesome, and vice-versa! I've tried to word things in a way that makes the applicable prompts clear.

Concerning the "focus on the married men's love for their wives" DNW:

When it comes to their wives, I'd like for their marriages to be treated as arranged, or considered solely as familial bonds as opposed to actively romantic ones. If you're more comfortable writing them both as having had love marriages, that's alright; in that case, I'd like to not spend much space on their romantic feelings towards their respective wives. I'd be fine with these three going through a moral dilemma about becoming adulterers, though I'd also like it if Genshin pursuing male lovers while married was considered acceptable as per shuudou practices. Some of the prompts suggest a timeframe when Lady Baskerville was definitely in the picture - I don't mind if she shows up or if they both have open marriages.

Optional Prompts

A descendant of a rich samurai tradition, Genshin is very much a proponent of bushido. His loyalty to the van Zieks runs just as deep as that of a samurai towards his daimyo. It would be cool to explore the depths of his devotion and fealty to the brothers, given what we see in canon.

Genshin and Klint are epic swordsmen, but they cannot foresee every attack or abduction. The trio are locked up and forced to copulate for the entertainment of their captors. Possibly, they have not been intimate with each other at all (maybe no established relationships to speak of).

Slave Setting: Following the 'Professor is Klint' reveal 10 years ago, Klint's life is spared and he is not taken into custody. Instead, Klint is subject to the mercy of his lovers, and he takes it upon himself to become their sex slave + submissive as punishment and recompense. Not wanting to entertain Klint's suicidal ideation anymore, Barok and Genshin must reluctantly go along with this new state of affairs as a last resort, using pleasure and erotic pain as tools to distract him from having anymore dark, murderous thoughts.
Note: I'm happy to see sub/bottom Barok or Genshin too, in this prompt or any other.

Somehow, Barok ends up...pregnant?! Cue panic on everyone's parts.

Resurrection and Ghost-related Prompts

After the resolution of the Professor case, Barok lays with the ghosts of his lovers, accidentally/purposefully bringing them back to life in the process.

Following their deaths, Genshin and Klint remain at Barok's side. He might not be able to see them, but they attempt to make their presence known nonetheless (one-sided ghost sex?). Conversely, maybe Barok only sees them in his dreams (and whether they are simply figments of his imagination or actual ghosts is up to you), doing all the things he wouldn't dare to do otherwise with them in his sleep.

Ghost Genshin and Klint appear before Barok in his worst moments: attacks -- maybe the time he received his facial scar? -- imprisonment, abduction, at the detention centre, etc.

Some of the prompts suggest a timeframe when Lady Baskerville was definitely in the picture - I don't mind if she shows up or if they both have open marriages.

Optional Prompts

A take on the Genshin/Klint confrontation: Maybe the duel turns sexual, and Klint may or may not die at the end of it. Perhaps they indulge in a moment of intimacy to distract from the impending fight, or Genshin tries to seduce Klint out of his suicidal impulses. Alternatively, they might've thrown all caution to the wind knowing one of them would soon pass on and they'd lose the chance to ever be together again. Or, Genshin hadn't intended to kill Klint at all; and after Klint throws himself on Genshin's blade, he tries desperately to resurrect him... Choice moments may include "you don't have to die", declarations of "I forgive you", and possible attempted suicide. Optional canon divergence scenario wherein Geshin spares Klint's life and spirits him away from Stronghart's clutches.

Genshin sometimes acts as Klint's bodyguard. One day they are caught and wind up at the mercy of their attackers. (Mutual non-con, rape, etc. happen)

Genshin uncovers Stronghart's unexpected blackmailing of Klint through sexual means. (This happens much earlier than the Klint confrontation in canon.) In trying to rescue him, it leads to inevitable intimacy between the two of them.

Resurrection & Ghost-related Prompts

I'd love to see them together in the afterlife, watching over their families and finally indulging in their shared lust.

Klint's ghost is revealed to Genshin at some point after his death, possibly prior to the execution (in Genshin's cell), or before the arrest while Genshin is dealing with the fallout of Klint's "murder". Maybe he never fully leaves the world, even after his physical death!

Klint / Barok
Hurt Barok

The brothers. The brothers!! Barok clearly loves him so, incredibly much. Unconditionally, even, despite the events of canon. I don’t think he’s the type to take down his brother’s portrait, as he still admires him and looks up to the man he loved…probably a little too deeply. Klint is also paralysed, in his own way, striving to remain perfect in his brother’s eyes lest he lose Barok’s love.

In terms of dynamics, I'd like to see top!Klint taking Barok's virginity (and giving him his own, in exchange!). Depending on the situation, I could see them switching if the goal is to "educate Barok on matters of intimacy", or if Klint is feeling guilty and attempting to repent.

Regarding the "abusive Klint within the context of the relationship" and "Lady Baskerville as Klint's lover" DNWs:

The van Zieks family tutor is quick to take up the switch as punishment. In an attempt to spare his brother (maybe the punishment is unjust? Or Klint's a huge pushover when it comes to his little brother), Klint petitions to take over the punishments himself. He ends up reluctantly taking Barok over his lap to give him a few bare slaps. (I'd love to see Barok kneeling over Klint's lap with his head buried in Klint's neck here!!)

Before Genshin comes into their lives, Klint is the last line of defense when protecting himself and his brother. (Alternatively, Genshin might be around already, but not present at the moment.) One day, his best is not enough and they're forced to do despicable things by their tormentors.

Mikotoba / Holmes

I'd love any take on this - going undercover, blackmail and coercion, outright kidnapping, failed rescue attempts, etc. Anything you come up with would be lovely! This could be set prior to them getting together, acting as a catalyst for getting together, or as an established relationship. Additionally, feel free to go with any timing (16-10 years ago, around or post canon...). I'm completely fine with receiving teenage Holmes-centric plot.

Holmes' investigation goes awry and Mikotoba stumbles upon the most horrifying sight when he finally manages to track him down.

An unhappy client, or maybe a resentful victim, sets up a kidnapping of the detective's prized partner as revenge for Holmes' actions. It's Holmes to the rescue!....or maybe not, as he ends up trapped himself, or forced to commit unspeakable acts in exchange for their freedom.

Their children and families threatened, the Legendary Duo themselves become bargaining chips, and must submit to the terms of their extorters.

Of all people to "mistakenly" interpret a situation as fuck-or-die.......it would be Holmes.
(Although I'd laugh very hard at Mikotoba earnestly misunderstanding the situation, and Holmes going along with it just 'cause.)

After going through the most terrible ordeal, Holmes grows very clingy and Mikotoba tries to comfort him through their shared trauma (a getting together story!).

Set around 1-5: After he is injured, a delirious Holmes repeatedly asks for his partner/Mikotoba. This could involve Susato/Iris/Ryuunosuke/Barok/the hospital staff etc.

The Legendary Duo experience a great deal of pain during the 10-year long separation. This is how they cope through letters, keepsakes and secret communications.

Post-canon or canon divergence: Mikotoba is abruptly revealed to be Holmes' true partner; there are a lot of hurt feelings going around and the pair take their family and new friends' reactions very hard.

I usually enjoy the top!Joe dynamic - even if sex isn't involved, I tend to view him as the more aggressive, pursuant brother.

Canon loves to get Joe in trouble, so for once Frank can be the one who gets whumped! If the situation calls for it, it would be fun to see outsiders (friends, family, their aggressors) commenting on their 'brotherly' relationship, or maybe even (coming close to) finding them out. The thought of Frank and Joe having to sneak around Fenton is particularly funny to me; on the other hand, it's a great setup for angst if he's involved in the mutual dub/non-con scenario...

I can never get enough of hurt Frank, though hurt Fenton is a close second. And of course, situations where all three are in trouble are just as delicious. The hurt does not have to be physical, either! (despite this canon's propensity for kidnapping and assault)

The girlfriends (Callie and Iola) can be hand-waved, treated as only friends, or even beards (they may or may not be in the know, they might assume it's for undercover purposes). I'm deeply in love with any setting and interpretation of these two groups, whether it be a Silver Milenium setting or a present-day resurrection or ghost fic. Bring the Shitennou back to life, make them relive Beryl and Metallica's torture, make the girls cope with their returning memories... any route is GOOD! I'd especially love to see the Senshi and Shitennou having to work together when it comes to youma duties. Maybe the Outers join in as well.

• How does the resurrection happen? Do the girls need to go on a journey? Make their own sacrifices (please no hair cutting, unless it grows back quickly!)? Or, does it all boil down to Mamoru and Usagi, and the girls are left out?
• How does everyone cope with the reunion? Who gives in first and who holds out? Are there grudges held by certain parties when not all the relationships resume smoothly? (Ideally, I'd like for all the members to get back together in the end game, unless there is a very compelling reason for why not.)
• How do Minako and Kunzite work out leadership duties; do the two groups interact at all and will they take orders from the other's commander? What role do the Outers play in the dynamic?
• Do any bonds from their previous lives return, or are they essentially starting from scratch?

Notes: I'd prefer for the Shitennou to keep their original names instead of having them replaced by civilian names. Feel free to gloss over outsiders' terms of address towards them if you prefer. Original Japanese or English names are OK (except Kunzite > Malachite).

General thoughts on the pairings

Minako / Kunzite

I imagine that Minako's status as the Goddess of Love, as well as her more complete set of memories from the past, frame her relationship with Kunzite a little differently than the others at least at first. I envision these two as having quite a lot of desperation for one another, though whether their peers are aware or not is a different story. I usually like the thought of Minako throwing herself into her crushes a replacement for the dead Kunzite she could never have, as opposed to the "floozy Minako who sleeps with everyone and anyone" portrayal.

Rei / Jadeite

I tend to enjoy fics where Jadeite comes to live and work at the Hikawa Shrine. Heck yes to Jadeite & Grandpa Hino bonding!! I'd also love to see a softer Rei portrayal than the common trope. Points that could be addressed: Does the couple bond through the sacred fire or shared visions? Is there any telepathy going on, and if so, can they access it outside the temple? How do they approach school, and what about Senator Hino and his matchmaking plans for his daughter?

Ami / Zoicite

I'd love to see them geeking out together, whether it be over ancient knowledge or (catching up to?) present day learning. Maybe Zoicite remembers Mercurian or Lunarian and helps Ami decipher her Mercury computer? Hopefully Zoicite -- and Zoicite only -- does not trigger Ami's supposed "allergy to love".

I have no specific Makoto / Nephrite requests, but I do ship them as well and would be happy for them to feature in the work. Go go, Makoto who has finally found a better love interest than her famous senpai!


Mamoru & Shitennou

I absolutely love Mamoru grappling with the missing presence of his own guardians. Also, the Shitennou's incredible guilt at double-crossing their liege, even if it was due to brainwashing and magic.
